Big Ben | Fence Framing | London, UK ||
The Houses of Parliament’s iconic clock tower is one of London’s most famous landmarks.
Most people think Big Ben is the name of the clock tower, but it’s actually not. Big Ben is the name of the Big Bell inside the clock tower, which weighs more than 13,760kg.
I was actually amazed by the architecture of the clock tower. It is very detailed and has a golden rich feel to it.
The origin of the name Big Ben is not known. One theory is that is was named after Sir Benjamin Hall, a large man and the first comissioner of works who was known affectionately in the house as Big Ben.
