Arches National Park | Balanced Rock | Moab, Utah

Arches National Park is one of the best places to see rock formations. It lies atop an underground salt bed which is causes the formation of arches, spires, balanced rocks, etc… Of notable features of the park is the Balanced Rock, which 128 ft tall with the balancing rock rising 55 ft from the base.

The big rock on top is the size of three school buses. That’s massive!! Did you know: This Balanced Rock used to have a companion called “Chip Off The Old Block”? Unfortunately, the companion fell during winter of 1975/1976.
