Krave Gourmet Jerky | Product Review | Toronto, Ontario

Krave Gourmet Jerky came to Canada in January 2016. It originated from Sonomo, California and is the ultimate gourmet snack. The jerkies are free of added preservatives and artificial flavours, as well as low in fat, high in protein and gluten free.

I received the KRAVE Snacking Kit to sample the product. It came with four culinary-inspired flavours that are available in Canada:
– Sweet Chipotle Beef
– Chili Lime Beef
– Black Cherry Barbecue Pork
– Grilled Sweet Teriyaki Pork

My most favorite was the Grilled Sweet Teriyaki Pork! The jerky was not tough and the grilled teriyaki flavour was strong, just the way I love it! It reminds me of similar jerky I love from the Philippines!

I think I prefer the pork jerky over the beef because I found the beef texture to be a little unusual for my taste. The beef jerky was finely coursed and pretty crumbly when you bite into it.

The snacking kit also came with Roasted Chickpeas and Dark Chocolate Pomegranate.

I enjoyed both of these. The roasted chickpeas was a great way to munch on something when at work or at home watching the TV. The Dark Chocolate Pomegranate had a strong flavour of dark chocolate with a hint of sweetness from the pomegranate.

I really liked the packaging of the product: the jerky comes in a convenient resealable pouch, making it the perfect and portable snack.

KRAVE Gourmet Jerky is available across Canada at Shoppers Drug Mart, Loblaws, Sobeys and London Drugs and retails from $7.49 – $8.99.
