Food & Drinks
Tejas Carnitas Tacos – $5.99 – Tender pork topped with marinated onions, queso fresco, chipotle sauce, cilantro and Monterey Jack cheese
This taco was recommended by the server, and it was very delicious. You get 2 tacos for the price, which makes it $3/piece.
The pork was very tender and flavourful. I loved the rest of the toppings they put. It really went well together!
You can choose between crispy or soft corn tortillas. The server didn’t ask which one I wanted, so I ended up getting the default which is soft corn tortillas.
Ahi Tuna Tacos – $7.99 – Ahi Tuna, ponzu sauce, pickled ginger, cucumber & jicama slaw topped with green onions and sesame seeds. Served in fried wontons tacos
This taco sort of reminded me of the Cajun Tuna Taco from Ebisu in Toronto because of the use of fried wonton as a taco shell. They actually gave a lot of ahi tuna.
However, I found the pickled ginger a bit too much as it overpowered the taste of the tuna, and the entire taco. I informed the staff who gave the bill, when she asked how the food was.
Sangria Swirl – $4 – Famous Margaritas
The sangria was made into a slushie, which was quite unique. This was such a refreshing drink.
I liked how well done the slush was – it was smooth and didn’t have chunks of ice.
