Gyubee is the first All-You-Can-Eat Japanese BBQ in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area with locations in downtown Toronto, Scarborough and Markham.
I’m finally glad there’s an AYCE Japanese BBQ in the city. There’s not a lot of restaurants in Toronto specializing in Japanese BBQ. There’s Gyu Kaku as well but it’s not AYCE.
Gyubee has definitely become one of my favourite all-you-can-eat restaurants in Toronto when I’m craving BBQ meat!
I went here for dinner after work back in 2016. At that time, the Price is $17.99 for lunch and $29.99 for dinner. Now in 2019, lunch is $22-23 and dinner is $32-33.
Gyubee’s menu is quite good offering a variety of beef, pork, chicken, 2 seafood, vegetables, appetizers, rice & noodles and desserts.
On the first round, we tried all the meats available at Gyubee since that’s what they recommend for first-timers.
We ordered for 2 more rounds after but just stuck to our favorites: house marinated beef kalbi (in the photo), pork cheek, shrimps, corn, king mushroom, salmon carpaccio, enoki mushrooms.
Surprisingly, the bibimbop at Gyubee was delicious too. Of course, rice is a filler in all-you-can-eat so don’t eat a lot of this! But I still can’t help myself eating about 2 bowls.
The slices of meat are cut very thin so you need to pay attention to the BBQ or it gets burnt pretty fast.
I’m so happy Gyubee has the salmon carpaccio as it balances the pretty heavy bbq meats. And it also balances my love for raw fish. (Note: This has been removed from the menu)
For desserts, Gyubee only allows 1 Melona ice cream per person, depending on current flavours in the restaurant. For us, it was either mango or Strawberry flavour. I loved the mango!
Their creme brulee is all-you-can-eat. It is so good and perfectly torched!
With its growing popularity and expanding branches, Gyubee is definitely one of the best restaurants in Toronto for Japanese BBQ!
Hope this restaurant review of Gyubee helps you decide where to eat in Toronto and Greater Toronto Area! Let me know where else to eat Japanese BBQ in Toronto.
