Red Sushi at the Golden Nugget Las Vegas offers traditional Japanese cuisine ranging from raw fish (sushi and sashimi) to cooked food (teriyaki, ramen and more).
The restaurant is right at the casino space across from The Grand Events Center.
The place is not a full-blown restaurant like Chart House and Vic & Anthony’s Steakhouse. It has a small capacity having two sushi bar areas (that seats 4-5 people each) and some dining tables.
Happy Hour at Red Sushi
They offer happy hour which runs daily from 4-6PM. During the happy hour, select appetizers, sushi rolls and cocktails range from $2-$6.
I came here at 5PM for their happy hour and got the Sake Bomb, Spicy Tuna Roll, and Salmon and Avocado Roll.

Food & Drinks
Sake Bomb ($2) – Shot of Sho Chikubai sake dropped in a glass of beer
I had my first Sake Bomb at Kingyo Izakaya Toronto. At Kingyo, they gave a pint of Sapporo for the beer, but at Red Rushi, it was just a small glass of beer, which you can’t even really drop the shot glass.
Having said that, it’s still just $2 after all so it’s still such a great deal!
Salmon and Avocado Roll ($5) – Fresh salmon and avocado rolled inside-out
I really enjoyed Salmon and Avocado Roll at Red Sushi because it tasted very fresh. The chunks of avocado and salmon were big with the right amount of rice.
Spicy Tuna Roll ($6) – Chopped tuna mixed rolled inside-out
I found the tuna to be too chopped up to my liking. The texture has changed because it was very shredded.
I wished they gave the same chunks as the Salmon and Avocado Roll. It still tasted fresh and the spice was good spicy.
